Intelligence team of Sales Tax Department seized ready-made garments worth Rs8 lakh from a private bus at Sanker's Hospital junction, Kerala.
Following an information, a team confiscated 22 bundles of fabrics.
Deputy Commissioner Ajaya Ghosh informed the goods were brought by the Howrah Express to Kollam without paying sales tax and lacked any related documents.
Though the items were being taken to a textile shop at Kadakkal, Ghosh added a major textile shop in Kollam was involved in this illegal activity.
