UPSIDC lends a hand to apparel exporters

Chanchal Tewari, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) has promised all possible assistance to exporters dealing with the hosiery and readymade garments. UPSIDC encourage the exporters to avail benefits given to the Hosiery and Readymade garments industry.

According to Tewari, the apparel industry plays a key role in providing employment to the youths.

Textile Special Economic Zone for boosting apparel export was being developed.

According to Tewari, about 400 industrial units of the city associated with the trade transactions worth Rs250 crore annually. Out of this figure, exports account for Rs50 crore. Apparels are exported mainly to USA, Canada, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and European Union countries.
