Although, output of Guangdong provincial clothing industry is quite high, it does not possess any famous brands. In order to create a niche in the international market, Government has announced a prize of millions of RMB, to encourage local apparel producers for brand establishment.
Experts believe, encouraging policies have a huge effect in development of any industry, and similar strategies had made it possible for cities like Quanzhou, Jingjiang for big achievements.
Local clothing enterprises welcome this attitude of Government, and expect, the clothing industry of Guangdong province will rise, and accomplish the target by 2010.
