Charleston-based Vapor Apparel has bagged the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) Product of the Year  Award in the category of Textile-Finished Garment-Synthetic for solar performance long sleeve t-shirt. More than 70 companies participated in the 2017 Product of the Year Awards, submitting 222 entries in over 49 categories of the competition.

All entries will be displayed in the Golden Image Gallery at the 2017 SGIA Expo in New Orleans from October 10-12. The SGIA Expo is the largest trade show for print technology in North America.

"This is part of an extensive line of innovative products from Vapor Apparel," said Jackson Burnett, president. "We appreciate the award and look forward to bringing more customers this great product in 2018."

"Our sublimation certified colours make a significant impact at retail," said Christopher Bernat, chief revenue officer at Vapor Apparel. "Our customers can compete with bigger brands and grow their markets with these colored shirts for sublimation printing."

"This was the best year for entries that I can remember," Ray Weiss, SGIA’s Digital Imaging specialist said. "In addition to the sheer volume of competitors, product quality was outstanding. Vapor Apparel’s award was well-earned." (RR)
