China & Bangladesh signs agreement to boost apparel industry

China and Bangladesh have signed agreement to enhance both the country's apparel industries, and intend to set up a board dealing with textile communication.
As per Bangladesh Garments Manufacturer and Exporters Association, the board would be responsible to encourage mutual investment in both country's textile and garment sectors and to enhance joint effort between Chinese and Bangladeshi trade.
China will establish research and development division to assist Bangladeshi textile sector, while Bangladesh declared that the China could utilize its duty-free access platform to export Chinese textile and apparel products to the US & EU.
