The Dacotex-Hai Au Xanh Garment Group has commenced construction of a garment factory in central Quang Nam province's Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.
The project is a joint venture between England and Viet Nam involving an investment of $2 million.
The Dacotex Quang Nam Garment Factory will mostly use domestic materials and export all products to the EU market.
It is expected to achieve an annual export turnover of $ 8 million creating employment for 1,000 workers.
The completion of first phase of the factory is scheduled to be within the next two months and will provide employment opportunity for 300 local people.
The Dacotex LMT Group had earlier established the $30 million Hai Au Xanh eco-tourism project with garment factory being the second joint venture project to come up in Quang Nam province.
