Govt ensures safe return of garment workers from Saudi Arabia

Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau has been successful in bringing home 28 workers who lost their jobs in the garment manufacturing firm in Saudi Arabia.
These workers entered Saudi Arabia to seek work at the Al Noorani Garment Factory which was shut down unexpectedly.
Employees were not paid for about six months and thus, Sri Lanka Consulate was compelled provide them with food and shelter.
Sri Lankan Government also took care of their air fare for the journey home.
