A free two-week ready-made garments training programme for women is scheduled to be conducted by the Rudset Institute, Madurai, in May 2006.
The training programme envisages covering all aspects of modern dress making along with information on pit-falls in self-employment, motivating factors, achievements, project reports and bank schemes.
Women in age group of 18 to 35, who have studied upto eighth standard, were eligible to apply, the institute informed. Candidates employed in some business activity would be given preference.
Applications to Rudset Institute, Airport Road, Perungudi, Madurai, should be sent on or before May 5 with a self-addressed stamped postal envelope, costing Rs 5, enclosed.
