'No-tolerance' policy for used under-garments imports
04 Nov '06
1 min read
Government has taken strict actions on the import of second-hand undergarments, which may lead several severe infections and health problems.
Bureau of Standards recently, published a firm statement reinforcing the no-tolerance policy for traders who deal in these products.
Meanwhile, people are being urged to buy garments and accessories manufactured by the domestic industry.
Standards Body is also keeping a close tab on all the trade ports for any such illegal activity.
Accreditation Service has gone even further as it will soon start investigating the proficiency of all the standards groups in the country.
