After all Ahmedabad will have an apparel park as Union Ministry of Commerce has notified GIDC promoted Ahmedabad apparel park.
Total 53 garment and textile companies have applied and the park may attract total investment of Rs230 crores.
According to sources, total exports from this apparel park are likely to touch Rs4000 crore mark.
Speaking exclusively to fibre2fashion, Amarjeet Singh, Managing Director of PEE GEE Fabrics Pvt Ltd, said that Government is allotting the land in form of plots.
He added that PEE GEE has asked for land in SEZ notified area for apparel unit as company is presently focusing on garment exports.
Government has quoted price of Rs3,000 per square feet.
