New Zealand Government to venture into fashion design and not in manufacturing; is a good news for Fiji Trade Investment Bureau (FTIB) as the sick garment industry of Fiji could take advantage with its decision to market Fiji garments in New Zealand.

A delegation comprising of Senior FTIB officials and representatives of five garment manufacturers will visit New Zealand.

Led by the FTIB Chief Executive, Lailun Khan, FTIB intends to provide opportunities to Fiji garment manufacturers to explore the prospect of increasing its exports.

Moreover, Fiji's geographical closeness to this market with direct shipping and air links will be an advantage to its garment exporters, Khan adds.
