ACTRAV seminar to see trade unions from 14 countries

Trade union representatives from 14 (fourteen) countries will participate in a three day Asia Pacific Regional Seminar on Trade Union Rights organised by the Bureau for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV). 
 
The seminar will focus on the growth in trade union membership and increasing efforts to organizing union in different sectors in the region. At the same time the seminar will shed light on the growing instances of abuse of trade union rights, restrictions on organizing union and increase in anti-union labour laws.
 
A total 37 participants from Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam will participate in the regional seminar.
 
The Bureau for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV) coordinates all the activities of the ILO related to workers and their organizations.
