A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), OIDC Apparel Parks Limited, has been incorporated for setting up the Apparel Park. The Park will be eligible for 40 percent grant funding (upto Rs. 40 crores) under the Scheme for Integrated Textile Parks (SITP) announced by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Set up at Velugam, Silvassa, 9 Kilometers from National Highway 8 that connects Mumbai with Surat and Ahmedabad has good proximity to the existing textile hubs in Mumbai, Surat, Bhiwandi and Ahmedabad, which makes it an ideal location for Apparel manufacturers.
