IAM launches Apparel Retail Merchandising Programme

The One Year Part-Time Programme in Apparel Retail Merchandising has been launched to train professionals for managerial levels in areas of retail operations and retail merchandising in the Fashion Apparel Industry, to equip the students with aptitude and skills to work as Merchandiser/ Buyer, Department Manager, Shop Floor Manager & Visual Display personnel in the retail stores.

The programme also aims to facilitate the learning process of the students with the dual approach of theoretical inputs & practical exposure of the industry.

A delegation from leading Fashion & Technology School of Australia- Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) has visited Institute of Apparel Management on 26th November 2007 and interacted with faculty/officers and students of IAM.

Delegation was led by Mr. Grant Emerson, Acting Higher Education Programme Manager of RMIT. The objective of visit was to finalize areas of cooperation as per agreed MoU which was signed in Sep' 2007. Initially a delegation headed by Shri A.K. Bamba, Secretary General, AEPC and Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Director, IAM visited RMIT for discussing MoU in June' 2007.
