Bangladesh garnered export orders worth around $2.50 million at the apparel sourcing exhibition 'Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada' organised in Toronto recently, according to the country’s Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) deputy director Abu Mukhles Alamgir Hossain. Ten fabric, garment and home textile manufacturers from Bangladesh took part in the show.

DK Textile Limited, Masco Industries Limited, Panache Knitted Creations Limited and Hand Touch got remarkable response from potential buyers, he said.

Hand Touch, a co-exhibitor of EPB, displayed embroidered handmade fashionable garments.

The deputy director told a news agency that EPB arranged a slot in the fashion show at the event and showcased fashionable and basic apparels to draw the attention of potential buyers. (DS)
