The committee will deal with trade-related issues and settle disputes that arise among garments manufacturers and accessories-packaging suppliers. The associations will also jointly work to raise garment exports and enhance the industry’s image.
The 11-member committee headed by BGMEA vice president Mohammad Nasir Uddin will act as a bridge between the manufacturers of garments and accessories and packaging to strengthen business relationship through collaboration.
BGMEA president Faruque Hassan said both garment exporters and accessories' suppliers need to work together in a cooperative and collaborative approach to create a win-win situation for all parties.
