Brazilian shoe company Arezzo & Co recently acquired My Shoes, a domestic women’s shoe brand that has been dormant for the past three years. The company has also partnered with e-commerce giant Mercado Libre to sell and distribute My Shoes products on the platform and use the Mercado Shops service to create an upcoming brand-specific online store.

The acquisition will allow Arezzo & Co to enter the more accessible segment of the shoe market, with a consumer base that accounts for approximately 44 per cent of the Brazilian market, the company was quoted as saying by industry news websites.

Arezzo & Co stables include shoe brands Arezzo, Schutz, Anacapri, Alexandre Birman, Fiever, Alme and Vans. It also operates the ZZ Mall Marketplace, resale platform Troc and lifestyle brand AR & Co, which includes a portfolio of Reserva and its fashion brands.
