The Lab E20, designed and produced by Christopher Raeburn (founder of Raeburn Design and global creative director of Timberland), is the new creative hub for East Village, Newham and London’s creative industries. The Lab E20 was designed to host Preview, a six-month programme of events and immersive experiences developed by Futurecity, as part of the wider cultural strategy for Get Living, with the vision to establish East Village E20, as the gateway to the Fashion District, the residential and commercial hub to East Bank and the Innovation District, while supporting Newham Council’s ambition to become the borough of fashion.

According to the British real estate firm, The Lab E20 opened to the public in July 2021 and brings together the emerging, local and global innovators in fashion, tech and design to share their principles of sustainable living with the local community. The three core themes both the space the preview programme have been designed to address: designing out waste, regeneration and climate action.
