According to Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro, Canada’s apparel imports from Cambodia were $959.450 million during January-September 2022. The inbound shipment of apparel from Cambodia was noted at $1,283.009 million during 2022. It was 10.37 per cent of Canada’s total apparel imports of $12.366 billion in the year.
The imports from Cambodia had noticed a gain of 22.45 per cent in 2022 from the shipment of $1,047.801 million in 2021. Earlier, Canada’s apparel imports from Cambodia were recorded as $873.093 million in 2020, $1,009.641 million in 2019, $899.339 million in 2018 and $815.269 million in 2017.
As per TexPro, Canada has imported trousers & shorts worth $245.329 million from Cambodia during January-September 2023. It was 32.88 per cent of the total apparel imports from the country. The inbound shipment of jerseys was valued at $164.563 million (22.05%), T-shirts $65.787 million (8.82%), shirts $45.689 million (6.12%) and nightwear $43.714 million (5.86%).
