Metakicks is the first collection of NFT sneakers distributed in the form of mystery boxes. Concretely, this means that when customers buy a Metakicks box, it is closed and they do not know beforehand which pair of basketball shoes they will have inside. A total of 6,250 Metakicks boxes will be available for purchase for this first drop, the company said in a media release.
Sneakmart has created 15 unique 3D animated sneaker designs with 3D animated backgrounds using different shapes, textures, materials and colours. All inspired by years spent buying, reselling and collecting pairs of iconic sneakers. These 15 designs will be randomly distributed in the Metakicks boxes and are classified according to different levels of rarity: epic, super rare, rare and normal.
Sneakmart will unveil a series of Metakicks in unique 1of1 editions, in collaboration with celebrities and brands. The company has also hidden 625 real pairs of sneakers inside these boxes, thus customers have a 10 per cent chance of winning a hyped physical sneaker.
“Sneaker lovers like to collect and wear a lot of sneakers. Everyone loves sneakers today, everyone wears them. With Metakicks, we want to give the possibility to start collecting digital sneakers through unique designs,” said Anthony Debrant, CEO & co-founder of Sneakmart.
The Metakicks boxes are available for purchase on the official Sneakmart website on the Ethereum blockchain.
