The 400,000-square-foot store will recruit 300 people, including 120 for the 1,000-seater restaurant coming up adjacent to it, according to a news agency report. It will showcase 7,500 products.
The company’s second store will open in Mumbai in 2019, followed by Bengaluru and Delhi National Capital Region. The company has opened a distribution point in Pune.
In November last year, Ikea had launched 'IKEA Hej HOME' to familiarise customers with IKEA home furnishing solutions and offer a first-hand experience of an IKEA store. (DS)
