India’s Arvind Ltd is planning to manufacture 40 per cent of garments in-house from the current 10 per cent to take its textile business turnover to Rs 10,000 crore in the next five years. Arvind, whose denims business has about 40 per cent market share in the organised denim market in India at present, registering 8-10 per cent annual growth, is looking to increase it to 15 per cent, Akhtar told a news agency.
The company also plans to expand its capacity in existing units and set up new ones in the next few years. (DS)
