Boohoo group, the leading online fashion retailer, confirmed that John Lyttle has joined as the chief executive officer with effect from March 15, 2019. The search process to recruit two new independent non-executive directors is progressing well. A further announcement will be made on appointment of the successful candidates in due course.

John has joined Boohoo following an eight year tenure as the chief operating officer of Primark Stores Limited. His appointment is a key constituent of the group's strategy in positioning for its next stage of its growth, and coincides with Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane, both former joint chief executives, assuming the roles of group executive chairman and group co-founder and executive director respectively. As announced previously, Peter Williams has stepped down from his role as non-executive chairman, Bohoo said in a press release. (RR)
