Max India, a fashion brand from the Dubai-based Landmark Group, plans to enable its brick and
mortar stores with Wi-Fi to digitally engage customers.

Speaking to Fibre2Fashion, Vasanth Kumar, executive director said, "Our first step is to pilot 'endless aisle' in select stores in Bengaluru. We will then start providing Wi-Fi at more stores and engage customers digitally through their mobile phones. Rollout of omni-channel will be the third stage."

Max offers apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and children. The brand is known for reasonably priced clothing targeting middle-class consumers.

Last year, Landmark Group launched a new apparel retail format in Bengaluru, Easybuy. While Max focuses on metro cities, Easybuy is targeted towards Tier II and Tier III cities.

Discussing the new concept of Easybuy, Kumar said, "We found that the customer base is different in Tier II cities. Families in this region are into small businesses and trade. Their appreciation for global fashion is not that much for a brand like Max. They want good value for money, good quality products at a very reasonable price."

Max India has a reach that extends to over 60 cities. The brand's range covers over 3,000 styles every season in new designs, silhouettes and fabrics. (HO)
