The Performance Days Trade Fair-Roadshow recently concluded in November reports a significant gain in the numbers of both visitors and exhibitors that participated in this round. At both Annecy and Munich locations, there were more visitors than ever before and a record number of exhibitors presented their innovations; and, the guests at the Innovation Tower at the Performance Forum were more fascinated than ever. This round's Performance Award for the most outstanding new product went to Carvico for their new fabric "Revolutional Slim" which promises to become dear to women's hearts in the future.
This was the seventh round of the unique Performance Days Trade Fair-Roadshow. The top "performance" products, i.e., functional fabrics for sports and workwear were introduced to the professional public at two locations, Munich and Annecy.
This autumn, the two calendar dates were scheduled close together during the same week: on November 21-22, 2011 in Munich, and on November 24-25, 2011, the same materials were available along with the Performance Forum for viewing in Annecy. A huge logistical undertaking, but one that was masterfully executed by the trade fair organizer and team, in such way that with only one day in between, the doors could reopen to industry representatives in Annecy - 640 kilometers away.
This round was once again a complete success. More exhibitors (from 13 countries) than ever before were on hand to present their functional fabrics to more visitors than ever before. Almost 1000 (969) visitors attended the Performance Days Roadshows. The trend was already clear after the May round, which enjoyed a 65% increase over the previous May.
Now the autumn events, traditionally with higher numbers anyway, reflect an even greater growth both in comparison to fall of the prior year (2010) as well as to last May 2011. Expressed in figures this reads: There was a 27.9% increase in the number of exhibitors as well as 21.4% more visitors over November 2010. This was especially noticeable in the above average increase at the Munich venue.
On an interesting note, this round also saw a more international public, especially at the popular Munich location. The Trade Fair registration forms indicate that professionals from the USA, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, and the Scandinavian countries travelled to Munich solely for the purpose of attending Performance Days. Visitors represented a total of 21 countries.
The MTC in Munich, our new venue introduced in May, once again demonstrated its professionalism and received high praise from the visitors. The generous dimensions of the booths offered enough room for concentrated business and the bright, friendly lounge area next to the Performance Forum was perfect for lively discussions as well as short breaks.
