Kolkata based and Mr Prahlad Agarwal led innerwear brand – Rupa reported a massive rise in net profits in the fourth and last quarter of fiscal 2011-12.
Net profit for the reporting quarter surged to Rs 136.06 million, up 52.94 percent from Rs 88.96 million from a year earlier.
Sales too rose 14 percent to Rs 2.15 billion against Rs 1.89 billion in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Revenues increased from Rs 6.5 billion in 2010-11 to Rs 7.11 billion for the full fiscal year 2011-12, up 9.38 percent.
Rupa & Company is a reputed producer of innerwear, knitwear and hosiery products.
