Winning the 2012 OutDoor Industry award, the Crag Denim Pant and Capri are specifically designed for sport climbing and are technical and rugged with a lifestyle vibe, offering a modern climbing experience.
“The Cordura brand team joined with Millet to marry both durability and style in the Crag Denim Pant and Capri,” said Cindy McNaull, global Cordura brand and marketing director. “The combination of Millet’s new generation climbing inspired design and heritage of Cordura brand fabric technology help to make this garment ideal for today’s avid climber.”
Meeting the unique demands of climbing enthusiasts in high-intensity environments, both the Crag Denim Pant and Capri were developed with essential details in mind.
The use of Cordura Denim fabric provides the authentic look, comfort and feel of traditional 100 percent cotton denim with the built-in, long-lasting durability of Cordura fabric, while the Lycra fiber component helps to provide freedom of movement.
The Crag Denim Pant and Capri have a flat waistband with loops, are harness compatible, have a crotch panel for extensive scope of movement, preformed knees, two hand warmer pockets, two back pockets, chalk bag and even a toothbrush pocket.
“We recognized the value of using highly durable materials to create long-lasting products. Especially in the climbing environment, it’s crucial that garments hold up in harsh conditions,” said, Isabelle Menis, textile climbing product manager at Millet.
“Cordura Denim fabric featuring Lycra fiber technology was a natural choice for the new Crag Denim Pant and Capri because of its combination of exceptional durability, high strength and outstanding comfort.”
Jeans made with Cordura Denim fabric live up to the brand’s high durability standards, and when tested opposite comparable weight traditional 100 percent cotton denim, are four times more abrasion resistant.
Millet designers selected stretch Cordura Denim fabric for its rugged durable performance and exceptional abrasion resistance. Offering ‘Durable Fabrics for Durable People,’ Cordura brand fabrics align well with Millet’s design of ‘True Products for Real People.’
Millet gives apparel and equipment to mountaineers since 1950.
