August 30 and 31 will see  a team from the German TV channel ZDF visit Mönchengladbach trouser specialist Atelier GARDEUR for its show pur+ to document how a pair of jeans are made. Together with the Atelier GARDEUR team “scientific stuntman” and host Eric Mayer will design and tailor a pair of jeans.

“We are delighted at this request from ZDF as the in-house tailoring studio at our company headquarters in Mönchengladbach is ideal for demonstrating the production process of a pair of trousers for young and old: here we carry out every single step in trouser manufacture – from the first sketch through to the last buttonhole,” says Gerhard Kränzle, CEO at GARDEUR GmbH.

The programme will be broadcast on 29 September 2012 at 6.30 a.m. on ZDF tivi, ZDF’s children’s and youth channel, as well as on 30/9 on 7.25 p.m. on KiKA.

The Mönchengladbach-based trouser specialist GARDEUR manufactures high-quality and innovative women’s and men’s trousers with a perfect fit. As Germany’s only fully integrated trousers manufacturer, GARDEUR can cover all stages of the development at its atelier, thus ensuring a high standard of craftsmanship and flexible collection control.
