The clothing manufacturer Anvil is once again the main sponsor of the Golden Shirt Award, donating 3,000 euros to the winner. The runner-up will receive 2,000 euros, sponsored by the sewing machine manufacturer Melco Europe. The thread manufacturer Madeira is sponsoring the third-place award with a prize of 1,000 euros.

The special flocking award, which has been presented several times in the past, will once again be presented in 2014, with 500 euros worth of prize money, which, as on previous occasions, is being donated by the flocking machine manufacturer Maag. The special embroidery award will be presented for the first time, with prize money of 500 euros. The German Innovation Centre for Embroidery thereby wishes to particularly encourage the embroiderers among the participants to submit outstanding work. The specialist retailer IVM SignTex is acting as a sponsor and supporting the presentation of the competition entries as part of the trade fair in Stuttgart.

An expert jury made up of around 15 members of the TV trade fair advisory board will select the winners of the Golden Shirt Award. The criteria for evaluating the submissions will be technical and creative implementation, relevance to the theme, and innovation. The registration and submission deadline for the Golden Shirt Awards is 30th September 2013.
