Monte Carlo stitches plans to expand in overseas market

Monte Carlo Fashions is planning to expand its retail section in overseas market through exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and multi brand outlets (MBOs) in the middle-east.
 
Mr. Sandeep Jain, executive director of Monte Carlo Fashions, told fibre2fashion, “Recently, we have opened two stores in Dubai and the company is planning to expand its retail section both in national and international market through exclusive brand outlets and multi-brand outlets.”
 
“In the international market our focus is on the middle east countries,” he adds.
 
The brand has 160 exclusive brand outlets and more than 1000 multi-brand outlets in all over India.
 
Talking about the new manufacturing unit at Ludhiana, he informs, “Looking at the consistent growth in demand and expanding market, we have invested Rs. 1 billion in the new manufacturing unit at Ludhiana.”
 
“The new production unit is scheduled to start its operations by March 2013,” he continues.
 
According to Mr. Jain, the existing manufacturing unit at Ludhiana has the capacity to produce approx. 1.40 million pieces of woolen knitwear with facilities for product development, design studio and efficient sampling infrastructure. “Once the new unit becomes operational, we are planning to shift the manpower of the existing unit to the new unit,” he informs. 
 
Commenting about the ratio of revenue in woolen garment sales, he says, “Woolen apparels contribute 40 percent of the sales revenue.” 
 
Apart from woolen garments, Monte Carlo brand from Ludhiana-based Oswal Woolen Mills Ltd, a flagship company of Nahar Group is offering products including T-Shirts, Shirts, Linen, Denim, Trousers, Sportswear, both for men and women.
