JCPenney to open new store for shoppers in Houston

Largest catalog merchant JCPenney is offering shoppers a fresh, fun and more convenient way to experience great brands at smart prices with the grand opening of the JCPenney department store at Memorial City Mall, located at 300 Memorial City, in Houston.

The celebration begins with a ribbon-cutting at the store's mall entrance on Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m.

Store Manager Walt Parker said, "Houston continues to be an important area for JCPenney, and our reputation for quality and value has been well received here for over 70 years."

"With our updated design, great merchandise assortment and exceptional team of associates, we will be able to provide an outstanding and convenient shopping experience for our customers. We're inviting everyone to celebrate with us."

The 103-year-old retailer has proudly served Houston since 1934, and the new store will contribute approximately 200 jobs to the city's economy.

The new JCPenney store, covering approximately 141,000 square feet, is designed in the company's latest format to make shopping even more convenient and exciting for customers. In addition to JCPenney's tremendous offering of style and quality at smart prices, customers will experience wider aisles, improved lighting and expedient customer service centers.

The new store layout helps shoppers easily locate major brands such as Arizona Jean Co, Chris Madden for The JCPenney Home Collection, nicole by Nicole Miller, Worthington, Stafford, Oshkosh, Nike and more.
