This summer the design team at the Levi’s brand takes inspiration from patterns borne from diverse cultures – African, Indian, and Hawaiian – and mixes these together to create a modern cultural hybrid. The renewed expression – through mixing prints with pattern, prints with prints, pattern with pattern – creates a vibrant new language for print embellishment. This ‘cultural mash-up’ has inspired design across dresses, shirts, blouses and tanks in the Spring Summer 2013 Women’s Collection.

-Jeans as a vehicle for print is the big story for the season. Cropped bottoms are freshly presented in a bright mix of color and print, as inseams continue to grow shorter this summer! Tonal palm prints, text prints, and bold and ditsy floral prints on denim are just a few of the exciting renditions in the line.

-The shirts, including iconic classic westerns, single pockets and no-pockets, are expressed in a vibrant explosion of color through plaids and textures.

-The blouses and tanks take inspiration from geometric block prints and paisley motifs.

-Rounding things off, a renewed collection of dresses features a range of print and pattern – from bold palm prints, to ditsy florals.
