Chinese hoodies to be recalled

Next Marketing Inc. of Wabash, Ind., has decided to recall 22,000 hooded fleece pullovers.

The Chinese-made hoodies have a drawstring through the hood which can become a strangulation hazard.

Consumer Product Safety Commission had formulated guidelines to save children from getting strangled by drawstrings in upper garments in February 1996.

The Chinese hoodies sold were of various colors and many having names of colleges and universities printed or embroidered on them.

Consumers have been asked to either remove or cut the drawstrings, or return the garment to the store to get help in removing the drawstring.
