JC Penney to open new department store at Westfield Mainplace

Originally opened in 1987, redeveloped in 1990 and acquired by Westfield in 2002, Westfield MainPlace is located in Orange County, Calif. The multi-level, contemporary designed shopping center is sited in the heart of the "Orange Crush," amid three heavily commuted highways, the 5, 22 and 55.
The center is currently anchored by Nordstrom, Macy's and Robinsons-May. More than 175 diverse specialty shops and a sky-lit food court are a part of the retail mix. Westfield MainPlace also boasts four sit-down restaurants and a six-screen movie theatre.
