Bombay Rayon pumps Rs 87.8cr for capacity expansion

Bombay Rayon Fashions Ltd (BRFL) has planned to increase its existing capacity by acquiring a garment unit at Navi Mumbai and set up a power plant at an investment of Rs87.8 crore.
The BRFL board approved the proposal to acquire a garment unit with a capacity to produce 0.45 million pieces of garments annually at the cost of Rs2.8 crore.
Capital expenditure of Rs 85 crore to expand the new integrated project, having additional capacities for yarn dyeing, weaving, a new garment unit and a captive power plant, was also approved.
The Bangalore unit of Bombay Rayon which has an annual capacity of 7.8 million pieces of garments, would start commercial production from March 06, sources informed.
