Ashworth reports strong initial sell-throughs of AWS collection

The Ashworth loyalists have always followed the tour closely and the golf apparel brand has been very successful in wear-testing products on some of golf's top tour professionals. Ashworth named PGA Tour Professional, Stuart Appleby, as the official player / spokesman for AWS in 2006.

Ashworth was delighted to see Stuart win his 3rd consecutive Mercedes Championship this year wearing the new AWS product throughout the entire week of play.

In Europe, the new performance line has had a particularly strong showing according to Grahame Jenkins, Managing Director of the European operations, "Europe has always been the true proving ground for any serious performance line. With dramatic climatic changes occurring during the course of any given week, one never really knows what weather will be encountered during a round of play. Our customers have been very pleased with the range of product and complete protection from the elements that the AWS layering system offers," said Jenkins.
