Large U.S. retailer Anthropologie just completed an EATH organized ‘buyer’s mission' in East Africa. EATH’s goal was to match reliable manufacturers in the region with Anthropologie’s brand and design aesthetic as it seeks to develop a collection from East Africa.

"We were inspired by the materials and the indigenous designs, the people, the artisans, in Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia. We will return," said Wendy Wurtzburger, head curator, Anthropologie.

Anthropologie's fiscal year ended January 2013 at $1 billion+ in revenue.  Anthropologie is the second largest brand in the $2.8 billion brand portfolio that is Urban Inc. The total brands include: Urban Outfitters Inc, Free People, Terrain, BHLDN.
