Italian clothier Diesel has come up with a self-tributary capsule line, inspired from the label’s signature archived pieces.

Designed under the aesthetic guidance of the brand’s creative director Nicola Formichetti, the range is divided into two instalments—one entirely made from denim and the other from leather.

Dubbed as #DieselTribute, both the collections include 45 pieces each, consisting of handmade men’s and women's ready-to-wear garments, lingerie and accessories.

Made from pieced-together old patches, studs and denims found in the company’s Breganze headquarter archives, the ensembles include jeans, jackets, vests and shirts, adorned with bottle tops and the label’s hallmark eagle icons.

The first instalment of the line is scheduled to hit the stores from November 4, 2013 onwards, followed by the second in February, 2014.

The capsule range, paying tribute to the brand’s heritage of more than three decades, is the first-ever solo collection of the brand’s creative director of Italian origin Nicola Formichetti.

The label has also released a digital campaign, shot by Nick Knight on an iPhone, specifically for the social media platforms.

Founded in 1978, Diesel is known for luxury and pret-a-porter clothing aimed exclusively at the young adult market.
