Dollar General donates to assist disaster relief efforts

In keeping with its mission of Serving Others, Dollar General is helping in the recovery and rebuilding efforts following the severe storms in the south. Dollar General is donating $75,000 to the American Red Cross and will immediately begin collecting donations at its more than 11,000 stores across the country to further support American Red Cross disaster relief efforts.
 
"Dollar General is committed to helping those hardest hit by the storms by providing resources needed to support recovery efforts," said Rick Dreiling, Dollar General's chairman and CEO. "Dollar General is also dedicated to helping these southern communities we call home rebuild and recover after these devastating storms."
 
With 11,000 stores in 40 states, Dollar General has more retail locations than any retailer in America. In addition to high quality private brands, Dollar General sells products from America's most-trusted manufacturers such as Procter & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, Unilever, Kellogg's, General Mills, Nabisco, Hanes, PepsiCo and Coca-Cola.
