Colombian Prez commits to boost textile & apparel sector

Inexmoda also advocated the elimination of export restrictions to neighbouring countries. Ecuador was mentioned as a key country where Colombian apparel has lost demand due to the application of restrictive quotas on importers.

Through formulating these petitions to the Government to improve competitivity in the textile industry, Carlos Eduardo offered his full support to the peace process that is currently being lead by the President. “I want to let you know with all of my heart, that the Country and the Government can count on Inexmoda as an ally in the transformation fo the sector. I don´t hesitate for a moment to count on all of the strength, trajectory and knowledge of Inexmoda to strengthen the competitiveness of this sector, which is vital for the economic and social growth of the whole country”, stated Carlos Eduardo Botero.

Botero emphasized: “we are the heart and mind of fashion in Colombia with a clear focus on the competitiveness of the sector. Inexmoda wants to and can do more. You have all of our support and we ask for your support in this task”.
