Felicien was one of the first to donate a pair of previously worn running shoes a year ago and was at the facility's opening celebration, along with 1,200 students from the local high school, Mother Teresa, and area elementary schools. The sports complex will be available for use by residents of the Malvern community.
"We want to thank all of the Toronto residents who made this new Nike Malvern Sports Complex a reality," said Eric Agius, President, Nike Canada.
In addition to Nike Canada's $500,000 donation to build the Nike Malvern Sports Complex, Nike Canada today donated an additional $50,000 in athletic equipment for the community.
