The German World Games Team presented its official outfit to the press today. Courtesy of sportswear brand Adidas, the 520 athletes and officials will be able to put in a uniform appearance during the 2005 Duisburg ceremonies.
And not only for the Opening and the Closing Ceremony! Every time a German athlete wins a medal, he or she dons the red and black warm-up suit for the awards presentation.
The German National Olympic Committee arranged for its partner Adidas to support Team Germany with a full range of apparel. Some of the sneakers with the three stripes on them had to be custom made: a respectable European-size 52 (!) for an American football player among them.
About 25 other World Games teams will similarly be outfitted by their respective National Olympic Committees.
