Kewal Kiran to set up additional manufacturing facilities in Daman

In a bid to set-up additional manufacturing facilities, Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd has completed the acquisition of land admeasuring around 53,000 square feet and building space admeasuring about 40,000 square feet at Somnath Road, Dabel, Daman UT.
When the commercial production starts in the new facilities at the recently acquired site, the total production capacity will rise to approximately 4 million garment pieces per annum.
The new facilities, which are expected to be operational in March 2007 and September 2007 in two parts, would contribute an additional of 1.3 million garments stitching and finishing capacity per annum.
This would be in addition to 0.7 million garment stitching and finishing capacity contributed by expansion of existing unit at Daman.
To improve operational efficiencies of the company, the existing and new facilities will be bifurcated into cutting and stitching, finishing and central warehousing facilities.
