Kishore Biyani, founder of the Pantaloon Group, was named the International Retailer of the Year at the US National Retail Federation annual convention.
Pantaloon was the first ever Indian retailer to be honoured, here, beating the US retail industry worth $4.5 trillion in the chase.
Group recently acquired online office products company OfficeEdge.
Biyani, though following 'no comment' policy regarding the rumored tie ups with US Starbucks and Burger King, said, “Our job is to keep on meeting people. But I don't think so there's anything happening that side.”
