Shoppers` Stop to acquire 19% in HyperCity Retail

Retail Chain, Shoppers` Stop has confirmed to exercise 19 percent option of the total 51 percent option available to acquire HyperCity Retail.
The decision was taken by Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on Mar17, 2007.
HyperCity Retail, a part of K Raheja Corp, operates a 120,000 sq. ft. hypermarket in Malad-the western suburb of Mumbai.
The store stocks a wide range of products like groceries, fresh foods, home needs, garments and consumer durables.
Shoppers Stop
is a Mumbai-based retailer operating departmental stores.
The company focuses on retailing of lifestyle products such as apparel, accessories, footwear, and furnishing among others.
