C&A store debuts on Saturday

Ready wear store chain C&A will open their first store in Istanbul Mecidiyeköy on Saturday May 5, 2007 even as they plan opening additional 20 stores in the next 3 years.

Revealing plans to the media, Andreas G. Seitz, C&A Member of Board - Europe informed that his company aims to be a preferred brand for discerning Turkish customers.

Seitz stated that C&A has a variety of products for all family members; bethey of any age and gender. Mothers will be find more of their choice.

Seitz added that C&A sourced € 200 million worth underwear, denim and socks from Turkey in 2006.

Seitz presented a symbolic key to Berna Kural Okandan, C&A CEO wishing him all success at the inaugural.

Okandan said, "We decided to enter the market in 2005 and will open further 5 stores in Izmir, Ankara, Eskisehir and Antalya by end 2007."

Opining that Turkey was no 'new market' for C&A as they were already sourcing from here, now, they will also sell their products.

According Okandan, C&A offers 10 different clothing brands and 120,000 types of products for all individuals; irrespective of age, sex and group.
