Arvind Mills business is undergoing major restructuring by merging the strategic business units (SBUs).
Company official informed Fibre2fashion that the product based SBUs will be transformed into functional SBUs, which will come under three sections, Fabrics, Garment and Brand entities.
He explained that the employees will report to three respective heads who will inturn report directly to Sanjay Lalbhai.
This move also includes job cuts. Experts say that the decision may have been influenced by the current Rupee appreciation, so as to cut down expenditures.
However, source rubbished theses claims. He stressed that the Company was planning this move since a long time but implemented it now.
