Brandix has come forward to support EDEX 2008, billed to be the country's largest ever higher education and careers exhibition, as the event's Platinum Sponsor.
Scheduled to take place at the BMICH Colombo from 18th to 20th January and Queens Hotel Kandy on 22nd and 23rd January 2008, the fifth edition of this annual event expects participation by more than 130 exhibitors and visitor numbers to top 100,000, according to its organisers, the Royal College Union.
Commenting on the decision of the Brandix Group to support this initiative, Brandix's Chief Peoples Officer Nigel Forbes said: “EDEX gives Brandix the opportunity to showcase the depth of the apparel industry as well as the Group and the diverse career options available. It also gives us a platform to present opportunities for vocational and professional growth and development within our organisation.”
He disclosed that Brandix, a vertically-integrated end-to-end solutions provider to global fashion superbrands, has major plans for expansion and growth within the country and the region, as it aspires to be a US$ 500 million organisation by 2010. As it ramps up to achieve its growth objectives, the organisation will require many more talented individuals to fuel this growth.
“We are positioning our organisation as the core hub for design and development within the region, and in order to achieve this we will require diverse skill sets ranging from design and innovation to sophisticated IT support specialists and business strategists.” Mr. Forbes explained.
