Klopman announces new apparel collection of Autumn/Winter 2009-2010.

Having the resolve to attempt a new world. Believing in the new business model of Silicon Valley and in the neutralism of multi-nationals such as Google.

Adhering to the politically correct … through true conviction and not opportunism. Wanting to make the world a better place.

Improving the ecology and ethno style, while keeping the principles of recuperation, heritage and ethnic arts as the noble titles of ultra luxury.

Living in a high-tech log cabin … driving a hybrid car … living carbon free … and wearing eco-friendly and socially responsible clothes.

A new style of luxury is invented … a cross between functional fabrics … luxury crafts … and casual refinement. Appreciating the comfort of natural stretch … choosing between natural shades and exotic hues.

Being self-taught … having learnt the history of art and design at the flea market. The “has been” value is found in wonderful, old fashioned objects … representing a more emotional and less orderly past.

The “design” aspect from former periods serves for bootlegging retro-futurist objects with the latest technological craze. The randomness of wear and tear … making an object unique … and more precious.

Absorbed in change … reorchestrating eras and styles. Accumulating and swapping freely for pleasure … without logic.

Recognising wholeheartedly … the uniqueness and preciousness of a no frills twill … the luxury of ancient canvas … or well-worn work clothing. Preferring natural faded colours which have a soul.

Finding established good taste … boring. Finding the trashy images of real life much more interesting. The bimbo pop-clips … the suburban motor bike circuits … the street look and semi-sport look … every bit attractive.

Liking the honest expression and radicalism. Retrieving it for one's self so that the old and the new machos can't get their hands on it. A new, top range designer look … breaking radically with what exists already.

The blend between honest jeans wear … Aggressive black denim … give an outdoor aspect to create something new. Integrating the radical approach of famous designers for sportswear.

Adding sexy brashness … contrasting designs from pop culture and trashy tv reality shows. Colours turn up unashamedly on a black and white background.

Looking to the future… unmoved by appearances … with no cultural prejudice concerning fabric or form. Dealing with the root of problems … finding new solutions that are both technological and ecological.

Succeeding in adapting to all of life's circumstances … whether a hostile wintry cold environment or an airconditioned atmosphere of the modern world.

Appreciating modern scientists … and architects such as Zaha Hadid or Frank Gehry, who use high technology to create a new organic, smooth and formal language of art.

New, hybrid fabricswhich unite natural fibres and technological constituents … such as synthetic filaments or functional finishes.

Primarily playing with the surface's optical and tactile aspects … mixing smooth and fluid forms … dense protecting constructions with the subtle interplay of matt and sheen. Accepting and preferring subtle, neutral shades … emphasising silhouette, shape and fabric.
