The International Apparel Federation (IAF) aims to accommodate members worldwide at the annual Spring Meetings (April 20th - 21st, 2009) in Cologne, Germany, and the World Apparel Convention (WAC November 18th – 20th, 2009) in New Delhi, India.
IAF Spring Meetings to be held in Cologne, Germany
The IAF Spring Meetings will be held on April 20th and 21st, 2009, in Cologne, Germany, on the eve of the IMB machinery fair. The venue for the meetings will be the Congress Centre at the fairgrounds of KölnMesse.
The Executive Committee and Board of Directors will meet on April 20th and all Committee meetings and the General Assembly are scheduled for April 21st. The traditional IAF Board of Directors dinner will be served on Monday evening, April 20th, in the form of a typical German evening at the Reissdorf Brauhaus.
Silver Jubilee IAF World Apparel Convention to be held in New Delhi, India
The 25th IAF World Apparel Convention will be held this year on November 18th – 20th. A major supplier to the world's fashion markets, India is fast emerging as a promising market for global brands and retailers, which is why it has been chosen as the location for the convention. Otherwise known as the world's largest democracy and melting pot of different cultures, languages, religions and foreign influences, India also contributes significantly to the world's textile and apparel market and the industry forms the backbone of India's recent economic boom.
